This is a very helpful tutorial especially for bloggers who are not afraid to figure out how to design their own blogs. Thanks for sharing.

I could not remember how to create a tab on the menu that wasn’t linked to a page! This video was perfect, thank you! PS http://WordPressThemeAdvisor.com has in depth reviews of premium WordPress themes and pros and cons to each. If in search for theme with features such as custom menus this may be a good resource.

    Thanks again!

Thank you thank you thank you. That was soooo easy. I’ve been wandering around on different forums and searches trying to figure this out. I forgot that Joy at 5 Js Design told me about this tutorial.

    Thank You!

(I’m searching here for all my other questions first, before I go to the internet at large!!!)

I tried doing this and I thought it was going to work and then when i went to my site the navigation bard didn’t show up, Just the “Home” button. I am so confused I followed all the steps. I have a preimum theme could this be the reason it didn’t work? Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi, Crystal!

Thank you SO much for simplifying it and making it less intimidating, especially to those of us who are trying to do all of the behind-the-scenes stuff on our own. I’m going to try and add a TOPICS page (unclickable) to my homepage menu bar.

I gotta tell you, this is one of the most helpful sites on blogging I’ve come across – thanks to Connie of SmockityFrocks.com mentioning your blog.

    Keep up the good work!

I have been trying to create a sub-menu for a month. You can not imagine the level of frustration that I reached. I started to look for a Word Press suicide hot-line. Anyway, THANK YOU so much for the video you are a gift from God, truly.
Thanks to my friend Bonnie that sent the Video-

Thanks so much for the tutorial. I am designing my blog now and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Right now I only have a static page. This is the kind of information I was searching for this morning when I ran across your post on twitter.

Great information Crystal…I was wondering how to get my HOME page link back. I started using the Lifesytle childe theme + Gensis framework 1.8 and my navigation menu bar vanished. So creating a custom navigation menu this way will be sufficient. Thanks again!

When you need to customize your WordPress site and cannot do it yourself, then consider hiring a web developer with experience coding since 1995 (yes, even before WordPress). I provide written quotes, so there are no surprises. Enjoy blogging.

Wow… just wow! I spent an entire afternoon trying to figure out how to setup custom menu bars with dropdowns like that. I feel really silly, but I will blame WordPress for not having a more obvious solution. I mean really, just drag it over a little?

    Thanks!
