Here are the top 10 posts about blogging and social media I’ve stumbled upon this week:

Five Reasons Bloggers Should Get Paid

I began to see the power that bloggers had and the influence they wield over their communities. And because of my marketing background, I began to think of bloggers as more than just “online writers.” It didn’t feel right that bloggers were accepting samples of a new snack food or lotion or cleaning product and putting a lot of time and effort into writing a thoughtful review about it for no compensation. Bloggers were doing work.

Choosing a Cover Image for Facebook Timeline

As of March 30, 2012, all Facebook Pages will be converted to Timeline. And part of the new design includes a large cover image, 851 px by 315 px. Now if your image is larger or smaller than this, don’t fret. Facebook will automatically resize and crop if needed, and then allow you to adjust the part of the cropped photo that shows. Do keep in mind, however, that your cover image has to be at least 720 pixels wide.

How to Install Fancy Fonts for Free

Following are two tutorials. I want to say at the get-go, that the way you put in the code will be different for different themes, but I thought these would cover most of you (hopefully).

      How Bloggers Are Using Pinterest

For bloggers, Pinterest can help you improve your site through inspiration, research, increased traffic and networking opportunities.

Tips from the Trenches: Best Blogger Productivity Tools

I thought I would be the only blogger who didn’t use many (okay—any!) of the productivity apps I downloaded. As it turned out, very few of the pro bloggers we spoke to relied on any apps or tools other than Gmail, Google Calendar, and Evernote.
