      Should You Unfollow Twitter Lurkers?

      People often talk about cleaning up their lists. Whether it be Facebook friends, email subscribers, or Twitter followers many people believe that if people aren’t engaged, then it’s time to unfriend, unsubscribe, or unfollow.

      Ted Rubin (a Savvy Blogging Summit Keynote speaker) is sharing why he thinks you should embrace lurkers.

      And do not forget that social platforms are hardly the only way that people spread the word. Just because followers do not share your content via Twitter does not mean they are not sharing it in conversation, via email, and via other social channels.

    Great point, though his whole article is based on the “follow back” school of Twitter thought. There is debate :)

    Exactly as Alison said.

    But also the article does dig out some very good points about the whole world of social media. For instance, even if your blog doesn’t get that many comments, it doesn’t mean the readers aren’t “lurking” around there.
