I am known to have a near empty inbox all the time. Sometimes it “backs up” when I’m traveling or taking time off, but in general, I never have more than 10 pending emails in my inbox. I use my inbox as my to-do list. I have oodles of filters and folders set up. I use canned responses for quick replies. And I just started using Boomerang add-on to schedule emails.
And yesterday, Gmail announced this new feature…and I’m giddy about it. SO SO SO many times I have to open up another tab to find and reference an email when composing another email. And it’s annoying.
This new pop-out compose box allows you to compose a new email while being able to toggle through your inbox and folders, without opening a new tab or window. This morning I woke up to the “preview feature” box and my email productivity just increased…because for this busy working mom…every second counts!
