How to Use Buffer for Managing Your Social Media

by Crystal Collins on January 23, 2012

The Buffer app is handy little tool that helps you post to your social media channels. For $10 a month you can add up to five different social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter), and you can also add another person to use the app. This makes it ideal for working with assistants that you do not feel comfortable making admins on your Facebook and Twitter pages.

Here’s a short screencast on how to use Buffer for managing your social media.

Step One: Sign-up with buffer here.

Step Two: Add your social media channels that you wish to use.

Step Three: Under settings, set up your times that you wish to use for scheduling content.

Step Four: Install the buffer ad-on for your browser.

Step Five: Start posting to Twitter and Facebook using your Buffer button.

What do you think of Buffer for managing your social media?

I do the same with HootSuite for only $5.99/month… the only thing that isn’t the same is the pre-set schedule, but it takes less than a second to pick your time to schedule your tweet/FB update, and there’s not a five account maximum.

I’ve tried HootSuite, Post Planner, and others, and just started using Buffer last night. So far, I prefer Buffer! Thanks Crystal.

I tested out Buffer back in August 11′ and liked it then, but haven’t utilized it much since. I LOVE the chrome extension and I’m going to see how that works for a while. Thanks!
