A gravatar is an image that shows up when you leave comments on other blogs around the web. Gravatars are great to have, because they not only put a face with your comments, but can actually inspire more click-throughs to your own blog. So here’s how to set one up:
Step One: Go to the Gravatar website here, type in the email address that you use when leaving comments and then click on “Signup.”
Step Two: Gravatar will send you a verification email. After you have verified, fill in your information to choose a username and password.
Step Three: Add an image to your account by uploading one from your computer, the internet or even take one with your webcam. Crop it, choose a rating for the image, and then you should be done!
Give it about 5-10 minutes to take effect on the web, and then check somewhere you have left a comment. If you still don’t see it, try clearing the cache on your browser.
There, doesn’t that look nice?
