Hi there. I, like the above commenter, am having issues w/ Feedburner and I wonder if there are other free services that I might try...or if I should just try a paid version. I got the title of blogs to import to email subscribers OK, but none of my email subscriptions are being tracked by FB, but RSS ones are. It worked for one day and then stopped. Then, when unsubscribing, the ${latestItemTitle} shows up as the title of my blog.
Also, I customized the subscribe email to readers, but the generic one is still showing up. Ugh.
Maybe I have to try all over again?
Thanks for any help!

Not sure how to help Dana! You might try setting things back the way they were, and then try again with ${latestItemTitle} tomorrow?!?

I am haveing trouble with this for some reason in the subject of my e-mails you actually see ${latestItemTitle} – rather than the title of my post. Any idea what I have done wrong??

What a great tutorial. Feedburner isn't always the most intuitive tool out there.

I particularly like this approach to customizing the title of the e-mail because it helps the messages stand out in people's inboxes. With so much e-mail from every possible source flying in daily, it can be hard for people to prioritize what they want to read first. By including the title of the post in your message subject, it helps people get a glimpse of what they can expect from the post and give them more of a reason to open and read the message. As a bonus, the same things you to do to apply SEO to a post will help with e-mail open rates as well.

I am so excited that this blog exists! I can use this now as a reference. I am a beginner at blogging and the questions I have and the information I need seem to be overwhelming. This is so great. Thanks.
