4 Simple Ways To Get More Facebook Fans

by Savvy Bloggers on May 29, 2010

We’ve already talked about How to Successfully Grow Your Facebook Fan Page and How to Add Facebook Page Tabs, here are four quick and easy ways to get more Facebook Fans (or “Likes” — just doesn’t sound quite as cool as “Fans” though, does it?!):

1. Remind Your Readers Often of the Value of Becoming a Facebook Fan

Don’t be shy! Remind your readers often that your Fan Page exists and how much value they’ll receive by clicking on the “Like” button.

There is constantly so much noise and stuff going on in the blogosphere that many readers can miss the fact that you even have a Fan Page. I’d encourage you to slip in a sentence every week linking to your Fan Page and encouraging readers to sign up.

2. Update Your Facebook Page Frequently

The more often you update your page, the more often people are going to see it in their Facebook stream. The more often they see your updates in their Facebook stream, the more often they are going to remember to click over to you.

In addition, the more often you update your Fan Page and engage your readers, the more comments you’ll likely get. And remember, comments create automated viral advertising for your page (when someone comments on your page, it shows up on their Facebook page)!

3. Link To Your Facebook Page in a Very Conspicuous Place On Your Blog

Don’t make your readers hunt to find your Facebook Page. Smack them in the forehead with a very obvious graphic on your blog which links to your Facebook Page.

4. Link To Your Facebook Page in Your Email Signature.

Be sure to include a link to your Facebook Page in your Wisestamp Signature.

This is really timely for me. I have a facebook page but it needs some pepping up. It will be my weekend homework. Thanks!

I am so excited – I just reached 1,000 FB followers yesterday! I made a point to thank everyone and am running a giveaway to celebrate. I think even since last night, I’m up over 30 new folks (which is pretty good for me). I’m almost at the point now where I care more about how many FB followers I have and less about subscribers. Anyone else starting to feel this way?

I have been working my Facebook page pretty heavily for a few months now. I do not have near as many as Angela, but I know it will take time. I think I am at 240 followers.

Everytime I post new content on my blog I post a link on my Facebook page directing my readers to my blog- so that allows me to update my FB page daily. People that may not leave comments on my blog will leave comments on FB about each post.

And my Facebook fans are the first to know when my giveaways go live and are informed ahead of time of upcoming giveaways. So they kind of get a sneak peek.

When I do giveaways, Liking Crystal & Co on facebook is always gives them an entry in the giveaway as well, so that has helped increase my followers too.

Great tips. Have a great weekend.

I’ve been looking for ways to get the lazies out of the closet and into the “fan”ing mood (or “like”… blah), but ppl are definitely slow to the gate. I’ve tried luring them with hotel giveaways (which I will produce) and STILL seem to lack in growth. I’ve gained 72 fans in a week, but I need more to really roll out the promos. I’ve considered doing the pay per clicks 1 day a week/month to see what that does… any thoughts on that?

btw… @iFINDhotels on both FB/Twitter :) thanks!
